Dr Cathy Love (Chair) - Class C nominee MB FRACGP FRACRRM DipRANZCOG(Advanced) Dr Cathy Love is currently working as a GP Obstetrician in communities across South Australia. Cathy is a former RVTS registrar and now supervises two RVTS registrars in the Northern Territory. She has worked as a District Medical Officer in the Northern Territory for over a decade and continues in this role on a casual basis, servicing communities out of Alice Springs. Cathy has also worked with humanitarian agencies in numerous developing countries and has an ongoing interest and involvement in Uganda. She is in her second term as RVTS Chair and has also served on the Board of the Central Australian Division of Primary Healthcare. Dr Tom Doolan (Deputy Chair) - ACRRM nominee MBBS FACRRM FRACGP Dr Tom Doolan has worked continuously in rural practice for over 30 years in Kilcoy, Queensland where he also provides inpatient and emergency care at Kilcoy Hospital. Tom was a foundation member of the (P)RVTS Program Governance Group. He chaired the RDAA Taskforce for the establishment of ACRRM, is a foundation and continuing Director of ACRRM and is ACRRM's honorary Director of Education. He was editor and co-author of the ACRRM primary curriculum. Tom was a foundation Director on the GPET Board from 2001 - 2007. His major interests outside of medicine are his family and his vineyard and winemaking. Dr Cameron Loy - RACGP nominee MBBS FRACGP BMedSc(Hon) DCH DRANZCOG FARGP GDRGP Cameron Loy is a General Practitioner at Lara, near Geelong in Victoria, and at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre women's prison. He is also a custodial Medical Officer for Victoria Police, works for the Victorian Institiute of Forensic Medicine, and is a Supervisor at his practice. Cameron is an RACGP examiner and is currently the Assessment Panel Chair for the Victoria Faculty of the RACGP. He is also the Vice Chair of the National Rural Faculty of the RACGP. In addition, Cameron is a Trustee for philanthropic research trust, the Shepherd Foundation, which supports early career research in General Practice prevention and occupational medicine. Dr Rod Martin - Class C nominee BSc MBBS FACRRM Dr Rod Martin is currently a rural doctor in Armidale NSW, practicing Anaesthetics and Obstetrics at the local hospital in additional to General Practice. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Rural Medicine at the University of New England. A Board member since commencement of the company, Rod was also a member of the Program Governance Group in the preceding couple of years before incorporation of the RVTS. Rod is also a member of a number of ACRRM and GPET committees relating to recruitment, retention and education. He was an RVTS Registrar in Theodore Queensland and is now an RVTS Supervisor. Dr Christian Rowan - ACRRM nominee MBBS MDiplTrade FACRRM FARGP FRACGP FAChAM FRACMA Christian Rowan is the Deputy Executive Director of Rural and Remote Medical Services for Queensland Health's Policy, Planning and Resourcing Division. He is also a Visiting Medical Practitioner at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane and holds an academic appointment as an Associate Professor with Griffith University's School of Medicine. He was the 2006-2007 President of the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ). Christian is a graduate of the University of Queensland (MBBS) and is a former Queensland Health Rural Scholarship Holder and PRVTS registrar. Dr Kathryn Kirkpatrick - RACGP nominee MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM, Grad Dip Health Studies (GP), AAICD Kathryn Kirkpatrick is a GP in Dalby, Queensland and is a graduate of Queensland University. Kathryn is Chair of the RACGP National Rural Faculty, a RACGP Councillor and is committed to rural training as a part-time Medical Educator and Rural Advisor for Central and Southern Queensland Training Consortium and a GP trainer. She is National Rural Faculty representative on the National Rural Health Alliance and is a member of the RACGP Queensland Faculty Board Executive.
